On April 24, the third package of amendments to Decision No. 1 of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) dated January 21, 2022 entered into force. The amendments concern the Rules governing the circulation of veterinary medicinal products in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (the “EAEU Rules”).
At the 10th Pan-Russian GMP Conference, AVPHARM’s Executive Director Simeon Zhavoronkov addressed the GMP audits of VMP manufacturers from third countries and outlined the factors hindering the transition to the EAEU common rules.
The EEC’s Department for Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Veterinary Measures is preparing to hold an open event to answer the questions from the market players regarding the deeper integration of the common Eurasian market of veterinary medicinal products.
Imports of veterinary medicinal products have been slowly recovering following the changes in market access conditions. The process has been slowed down by long GMP audits procedure, the difficult resumption of production after being GMP certified and the delivery of necessary reagents.
